Elements are an attribute of item bonuses in Infinity Blade I, Infinity Blade II and Infinity Blade III.
Description[]
Attacks can possess elemental damage, a subtype of damage that applies in addition to normal damage, but can also be mitigated by an equivalent elemental defense. Certain weapons contribute elemental damage along with square gems, and certain shields contribute elemental defense along with diamond gems. Titans can receive elemental damage and elemental defense, which is displayed on their information popup before a battle, with bosses after the first playthrough always receiving Spectrum defense. In Infinity Blade I and Infinity Blade II, elemental damage can also be dealt using magic (10% effectiveness against an element that is protected against.
- Sustained damage
- 10% of the item or square gem's listed elemental damage is applied once every ⅓ of a second (known as a cycle), ten times (totalling 3⅓ seconds).
- If an additional attack is made before the sustained duration is finished, the counter resets and additional damage is added to the original amount. One point is deducted from this amount for every cycle that had already elapsed.
- Combos multipliers are accounted for and proportionately increase the damage.
Trivia[]
- The Warth and Imagine Dragon possess both an elemental attack and square gem slot. However, the Warth's second element is only an aesthetic change.
