Editing techniques

  • To edit a page, select the Edit button at its header.
  • To inspect edits before saving, select the Show preview and Show changes buttons for display of the updated page and syntax differences respectively. Be sure to check for any mistakes!
  • Links can be created between articles by inserting a title between double brackets like [[article]].
  • Templates can be transcluded onto pages by inserting a title between double braces like {{template}}.
    • Inserting t| like {{t|template}} will convert the template into an alternate link to its source page.
    • Inserting subst: like {{subst:template}} will paste a template's exact code onto a page, replacing the transclusion.
  • Headings can be created by inserting text between multiple equals signs '=', from two to six on either side, with more consecutive equals signs creating increasingly minor headings.
  • Certain characters can be used at the start of lines for formatting emphasis.
    • A bullet list uses asterisks '*' at the start of each item, with consecutive asterisks producing greater indentation, as is demonstrated by this list item.
    • A numbered list uses hashes '#' at the start of each item.
    • A bold subheading uses semicolons ';' at the start of each item.
    • Indentation uses full colons ':' at the start of each item, with consecutive full colons producing greater indentation.
  • Put apostrophes around words or phrases for formatting emphasis.
    • Two apostrophes, like ''italic text'' will create italic text.
    • Three apostrophes, like '''bold text''' will create bold text.
    • Five apostrophes, like '''''bold italic text''''' will combine the above to create bold italic text.
  • Using <br> will force a line break within text or code.
  • Using <br clear="both"> will force a line break that also affects floating elements.
  • Using <nowiki></nowiki> tags will prevent what is inside the tags from formatting, demonstrated in some of these examples when viewed in source mode.
  • Using <pre></pre> tags will produce preformatted text within a container.
  • Embedded tables will not work in certain templates. For them to do so, their Wikitext syntax of '|', '{' and '}' must be replaced with {{!}}, {{(}} and {{)}} respectively.

This guide aims to show where every key in the game can be found. The listing is currently incomplete. Keys are generated randomly. Some of these keys may appear in a Rebirth, while others will not.

Large/Medium Keys[]

Image Description
Key8 A small or medium key can sometimes be found to the immediate left of Thane's chair.
File:IronCross.png You can purchase the Key Treasure Map in the shop, which unlocks the ability to tap the iron cross on the structure at the top of the tower, to the immediate right of the entrance. Either a small, medium, or large key can be obtained on three separate occasions:
  • First Thane encounter.
  • Random enemy encounter afterwards.
  • Second Thane encounter.

Small Keys[]

Image Description
Key1 This key is found in the first scene encountered in a new Rebirth, to the immediate left of Siris.
Key2 This key is also found in the first area, on the far right of the screen, next to the broken pillar.
Key0 A key can sometimes be found on a rock to the right, in between two pillars.
Key3 This key is found in the first scene as well, on a raised area to the left.
Key4 After passing over the broken bridge in front of the castle, you can find this key to the extreme left of the screen.
Key11 This key can be found by some rubble in front of the castle.
Key5 This key is found just inside the castle, to the right of the entrance.
Key15 At the top left of the same room, a key is sometimes hidden on the edge of a torch container.
Key9 A key sometimes appears inside the courtyard, to the right of the statue.
Key13 A key can also be found at the base of the stairs leading to a room with a chest.
Key17 In the same area, a key may be found immediately to the left of the entrance. It is only visible during a few short cutscenes.
Key16 In the same area, a key can be found just beside the statue. It is only visible during a few short cutscenes.
Key6 This key is found in the first area of the room with the clock, on a rail post to the right.
Key10 A key may be shown during the conversation with Archivist, just before battle.
Key14 A key can be found in the room leading to the top of the tower.
Key7 You can find this key on a side panel in the hallway just before the room containing MX-GOLIATH.
Key12 This key can be found on top of a generator-like device in the MX-GOLIATH room.

NewGame+/Guide:Infinity Blade I NewGame+[]

Introduction[]

There are no suggested prerequisites for entering ng+ other than being able to beat Zero Mech (it is recommended to reallocate all stat points to attack to make getting through the first few enemies in ng+ easier). The general strategy for ng+ in IB1 is the same as in IB2: rush as many new games as you can confortably, and then 'rest' for a while and catch up on stat points before proceeding again. This guide will focus on the general ng+ method that exploits the "fake selling" glitch (demo video below), but if you want to experience ng+ without using this exploit, the same logic of rushing and resting applies.

Strategy[]

Your first ng+ (ng^2) should be a 'rest' ng. You'll want to master everything to get enough attack points to comfortably rush up to ng^5 or so. Regardless of if you're rushing or resting, the route is the same, and you will need to set up the fake selling exploit as soon as possible.

The route is, after beating the first two titans, take the left path directly to the dungeon. Collect all gold bags and chests. After beating all four titans, you will have enough gold to set up the fake selling exploit before unlocking the dungeons.

Fake-Selling[]

The "fake selling" occurs by swiping through the menu of items and clicking 'sell' on an item as it rolls by. When you click the check mark to confirm, the item you're selling is no longer selected and doesn't get sold, but you obtain the money for selling it anyways. You can repeat this process forever with any item.

You'll want to buy at least the fire circle and lightning round in addition to your shattered circle, it's nice to have the rusty ring also. In the store, scroll to the helms, start somewhere between Odin's Wisdom and Colossal Helm. Swipe upwards to send the menu scrolling down quickly, and tap sell immediately after. This is difficult, but the goal is to tap sell on one of the rings that you own. If it is successful, you'll get the confirmation message to sell and item. Click the green checkmark and you'll get some starting cash. If it is not successful, you'll get an 'Insufficient Gold' message. If the amount you need is small (less than 10k), then you pressed sell too late. If the amount you need is big (more than 10k), then you pressed sell too early. Experiment with your starting position in the helms to find the timing that works for you. After the first successful sell, it is recommended to purchase more rings (about down to the Conduit) to make this method easier to perform. At this point, what you do depends on if you're doing a rush or rest ng+ (see below). Allocate almost all stat points into attack, optionally you can put some into health to where you can survive a hit. After fake selling, continue; beat all three deathless in the dungeons, order does not matter. Beat the Zero Mech/ Archarin and continue onto the next ng+.

Rest NG+[]

Continue fake selling with the initial method until you have enough gold to purchase the Thorne(1454000) and the Cog(1200000). Limit the view in the shop to only rings. Start somewhere between Ring of Ice and Fire - Dragoor Scale and perform the same method with the same timing, aiming to click sell on the Cog or Thorne, and confirm when the menu scrolls past to land on the bag of gold. You can get faster repeating this method with practice. Repeat this process for a while. In later new games, you'll need hundreds of millions to fully max, but in the first new game (ng^2), you only need about 41 mil to max. After accumulating gold, go down the line and buy items in the shop to master them. You can do all items at once, or only a section to master items in chunks (for example, only swords, then shields, etc). After buying items, go into inventory and scroll to the top and start mastering. You'll have to remaster each item a number of times equal to new games you've unlocked. It is efficient to not allocate stat points until after you're done mastering items.

Demo: https://streamable.com/4ukc5

Until higher new games, (more than 30), it is efficient to max ALL items in the game during a 'rest' new game.***

Rush NG+[]

Continue fake selling with the initial method until you have enough for the infinity blade (514900). Optionally, you can keep going to have enough gold for convenient items such as armor for health and a shield for dealing with block-only attacks from Gortoel. Shields with more than 40 points are enough to shield multiple hits until very high new games, so allocating stat points into shield isn't usually a concern.

Save Progress[]

IB1 does not save your progress unless you watch through an entire cutscene, (fforwarding doesn't matter). This includes battles, chests, and repeatable cutscenes such as walking to and from the infinity blade panel in the dungeon. Make sure a cutscene comes to an end before quitting out of the game to take a break or you'll lose any work done on your character.

*** In early new games, it is efficient to max ALL items in the game during a 'rest' new game. The amount of time it takes to collect the necessary gold for a certain item is very little, so skipping more expensive items is barely worth it. In higher new games, it becomes worth it to skip mastering the most expensive items such as Obsidian, X-SC2, Fusion Helm, Vulcanis, Night and Omega armor, Illuminatus, Cog, and Thorne. This is because the majority of the benifit of these items is in the xp they hold, but you only gain stat points from xp gain by leveling up, and level requirement scales exponentially while the rate of income from fake selling is constant. Because leveling up becomes more and more costly, but your rate of income remains constant, it becomes much more valuable to spend time on the cheap items in higher new games.

NewGame+/Guide:Infinity Blade II NewGame+[]

Preparations[]

Before beginning NewGame+, it is suggested that you get your character to around level 60 and that you obtain the Gem Set by beating the Negative Bloodlines. This will be useful for maximizing your XP and Mastering Items gain during "rest" NGs.

Rest NewGame+[]

Rest NGs are NGs where you buy XP+ gems in order to maximize your XP gain to master many different items and improve your stats in the process. You will be doing a rest NG about once every 5-15 NGs. During rest NGs you will want to equip the Gem Circle, an armor piece with a Hexagon gem slot, and items that have not been fully mastered. It is not advisable to try to master every item fully because after a while of resting it is better to rush to a higher NG to increase your XP gain per kill.

Rush NewGame+[]

Rush NGs are NGs where you try to beat Raidriar as quickly as possible. This can be done in only 4 rebirths if, after killing the Stone Demon, you close out of the app and open it again. This will open the seal but will also allow you to continue to the MX-Goliath, allowing you to open 2 seals in 1 rebirth. You can also fight Ryth with a Double XP potion for additional XP, but he can often be too difficult to beat consistently.

By the time you reach around NG+26, you will be earning around Gp-icon100,000 per battle if you use the Restart Rebirth 1 glitch shown in the "Other Useful Advice" section. This will allow you to spin small gem wheels to try to get XP+ gems at the beginning of every NG. The XP gain from this will allow you to rush every NG and continue to get the most XP for your time.

Stat Points[]

Your stat points should be allocated in one of three ways:

  • If you're going to use dual, you should allocate 90% into attack and 10% into health.
  • If you're going to use all 3 types of weapons, you should allocate 80% into attack, 10% into health, and 10% into shield. This is most recommended because it allows you to use every weapon for the most stat points.
  • If you feel like it, you can also go for 100% into attack; however, this locks you into dual weapons and can be difficult to pull off effectively.

Other Useful Advice[]

  • Using "Restart Rebirth 1" at the beginning of every NG will drastically increase your gold gain. This is because the game thinks you are on the first rebirth of OG when you go into a new NG, so it gives you the gold associated with the first rebirth of OG. Upon pressing Restart Rebirth 1, the game properly sets the amount of gold gained per battle.
  • It is easy to only use the gem set during NG+; however, it is most advisable to continue using as many weak items as possible, as it is easier to master them to gain more stat points.
  • It is always important to check the shop at the beginning of every rebirth for XP+ gems. Having an XP+ gem makes progression far faster in both rush and rest NGs.
  • The Key Treasure Map can give you a large key at the beginning of every NG for only 8,000 gold pieces.
  • Don't feel obligated to follow a specific rush-rest pattern; choose to rush or rest based on the difficulty of enemies.
  • Don't worry about the stats of an item when equipping it. The most important things for an item to have are hexagon gem slots for armor and rings and sufficient dodges for dual and light users.
  • Never put stats into magic. Your ring slot should be dedicated to a ring that has a hex slot.

Weapon combos[]

Weapon-specific combos are a special type of combo that are unlocked after acquiring the skill "Weapon Custom Combos." This skill is unlocked separately for Siris and Isa. At levels 1 and 2, weapons have a 3 movement combo, 4 movements at levels 3 and 4, and 5 moves at the maximum level of 5.

Notes
  • Performing weapon-specific combos while a Light-class weapon is under the Continue Combo effect from "On 5-Hit Combo, Continue Combo" gems will deactivate the effect, without performing the weapon's own combo.
  • Certain weapons have weapon-specific combos that can be exploited to achieve multiple bonus combos using less of the sequential moves than is normally required. This is because the combo mechanic "remembers" the direction of the hit and preserves that hit in memory as progressing towards performing the combo.
    • For example, a Left-Left-Right-Left-Left bonus combo sequence can be performed again simply by swiping Right-Left-Left immediately after having performed the same combo.
    • The LeftUp and LeftDown moves can also be used in place of Left moves, and RightUp and RightDown moves in place for Right moves. This, too allows exploitation of certain bonus combo sequences to execute subsequent bonus combos using less moves.
    • For example, Grayson's five-hit bonus combo of Left-Up-RightUp-Up-LeftDown can skip out on Left by performing the full bonus combo first, then only swiping Up-RightUp-Up-LeftDown to achieve the same bonus combo, and can be repeatedly used until you stop attacking or start swiping in a wrong direction, breaking the combo sequence.
  • Without upgrades, the Snikt, a Dual weapon for Isa can consistently land bonus combos after it is completed by swiping LeftUp-LeftUp-LeftUp to trigger it first, and then keep swiping LeftUp afterwards.
  • Bonus Combo Length -1 gem can also be used to achieve (near)continuous bonus combo on certain weapons. For instance, Infinity Blade/Edge's L-R-L-R-R bonus combo can be converted into L-R-L-R, which deals a bonus combo on every other hit after activation.

XP and mastering items[]

Equipment in Infinity Blade III can be mastered after a certain amount of required XP is collected by the player. After the item is mastered, will then be available to upgrade at the Blacksmith.
